Newry Junior Chamber hosted their latest training and development event at MJM Marine on 30th April when Mr Brian McConville, founder and current Chairman of MJM Marine Limited, delivered an insightful presentation on his entrepreneurial journey. Welcoming Mr McConville to the event current President of the Newry Junior Chamber, Neil Logan, stated that they had been trying to “pin” Mr McConville down for some time to deliver such a talk and commented on the fact that given his company’s recent acquisition of Mivan there was probably no better time to have him on board.
The crowd were treated to an hour long insight in to the early days of Brian’s career, his establishment of MJM, his acquisition of Mivan and his plans for the future. Those fortunate to attend the event were even given an exclusive by Brian regarding his latest acquisition with a promise of more details to follow!
Commenting on the event Neil Logan thanked Mr McConville for giving up his time to deliver such an inspirational talk.
“The Newry Junior Chamber is extremely proud that an internationally renowned Company such as MJM is located in our very own city. Brian McConville is an inspiration to the many young people of the area who are trying to establish themselves in business.
We are very fortunate that the Chamber has always had great support from the business leaders in the Newry area and tonight’s talk from Brian is a testimony to that support.
The Newry Junior Chamber and its members would like to thank Brian for giving his time to deliver an excellent talk this evening”.
